COGNIRON Winter School on Human Robot Interaction

Lausanne, Switzerland, 21-25 January 2008

Human Robot Interaction (HRI) is one of the main research topics in the COGNIRON project which has been studying and developing advanced interaction capabilities for robot companions in home environments for the past four years. In order to make the project's expertise and the latest findings in the field of human-robot interaction accessible to students and young researchers in the community, the COGNIRON winter school on HRI will cover the following topics:

* Interaction design of social robots
* Concepts for interaction management
* Learning and imitation
* Cognitive maps
* System integration facing real world challenges
* Evaluation of interactive robots
